The Sungei Api Api has a green corridor that runs between Pasir Ris Drives 1 and 3. This area is surrounded by award-winning residential estates, which serve as an example of how built and natural environments can be combined effectively. The mangroves along the river have been conserved by the National Parks Board to restore the original mangrove habitat and support diverse flowers, plants, and animal life.
