Jothi Store and Flower Shop has its roots in the early 1960s, when it was a small stall that sold traditional Indian garlands, betel leaves, and prayer items. The founder, Ramachandra Murugaia, arrived in Singapore in 1948 at the young age of 17. He named the shop after his first daughter, Jothi. Over time, this modest stall evolved into a prosperous five-story business located in Campbell Lane. In 1986, Murugaia's son, Rajakumar Chandra, took over the business. Under his leadership, the company has expanded into Malaysia and has even started exporting to other parts of the world. Today, Jothi Store and Flower Shop is a thriving business that remains deeply respected within its community.
